Today, as requirements for materials in high-end manufacturing and extreme working conditions become increasingly stringent, standard white fused alumina often cannot meet certain extreme application demands, while using high-purity white fused alumina (Al₂O₃ ≥ 99.9%) greatly increases costs. Our low-sodium white fused alumina was developed to solve this pain point as an optimal cost-performance choice.
Sodium oxide in white fused alumina reacts during smelting to form sodium aluminate, reducing the formation of α-Al₂O₃ and impairing performance.
We produce low-sodium white fused alumina by selecting low-sodium alumina raw materials and extending smelting time.
According to GB/T 2479-2008 Common Abrasives – White Fused Alumina, Na₂O content shall be below 0.40%. Our low-sodium grade controls Na₂O below 0.25%.
Compared with standard white fused alumina, low-sodium white fused alumina provides:
